My name is Alena. I am a visual artist working in mixed media, exploring the balance between abstraction and realism. My artistic journey has been shaped by a deep passion for creativity and self-expression, which has been an integral part of my life since childhood. I love observing people and nature, seeking their unique and elusive beauty.
In my work, I experiment with various materials, including oil, ink, acrylic, and epoxy resin, each medium resonating with me at different stages of my artistic practice. My paintings capture the beauty of the world around me, conveying emotions and sensations through textures, contrasts, and delicate nuances of light and color.
After moving to the Netherlands, my passion for oil painting was reignited with renewed intensity. I have been creating a series of paintings dedicated to the North Sea, inspired by its strength, ever-changing nature, and the emotions it evokes. Alongside this, I develop conceptual series, such as "Duality", which explores the interplay of light and shadow, depth and simplicity, reflecting my perception of the world.
I hope my paintings resonate emotionally with viewers, creating an immersive and lasting impression.
